STATESBORO – Georgia Southern Baseball travels to Coastal Carolina for an Easter Weekend series against the Chanticleers starting on Thursday night on the Grand Strand. The series is a battle of the top two teams in the Sun Belt East. The Eagles trail the Chanticleers by a half game for first place in the division at the midway point in conference play. The games on Friday and Saturday can be seen live on ESPN+.

STORYLINES
- Georgia Southern travels to Coastal Carolina for a battle at the top of the Sun Belt East. The Eagles trail by a half game for first place, while the Chanticleers have lost three-straight entering the series.

Jason Swan's three run home run in the seventh inning put the Eagles ahead for good on Tuesday night as the Eagles opened a run of four games in five days.
Nick Jones tossed three shutout innings out of the bullpen to get the win, while
Steven Curry had three doubles.
- Georgia Southern trails the all-time series with Coastal 4-11, but is 3-3 against the Chanticleers since joining the Sun Belt. The Eagles took two of three in 2017 in Conway, but dropped two of three last year in Statesboro.
- Against Charleston Southern, junior
Steven Curry had a three-hit day with all three going for a double. It was the first three double day for the Eagles since Kody Adams accomplished the feat in March 2015.
- The Eagle pitching staff was stingy on Friday night against Texas State, allowing just three hits with no runner getting past second base in the 12-0 shutout.

Noah Searcy had a career night last Wednesday, hitting two home runs against Kennesaw State. The native of Jacksonville drove in Georgia Southern's first five runs, a new career high. His two home runs lifted his career total to five.
- Six has been the magic number over the last six years for Georgia Southern Baseball with a 134-19 record when scoring six or more runs. The Eagles are 16-3 this season when scoring six or more.

After the Easter Weekend series, Georgia Southern will be back in Statesboro for five-straight home games. The Citadel and College of Charleston come to town in the midweek before a weekend series with South Alabama.
