GRADUATE (2021): Started 14 of the 16 games he appeared in this season... Posted a 7-2 record, with a 3.62 ERA... Worked 77 innings this season, striking out 74 batters... Opponents were batting .229 off of the righty... Struck out 10 batters against Tennesee out of the bullpen on opening night (2/19)... Worked a career-high seven innings against Oklahoma (4/24)... 

SENIOR (2020): Appeared in 5 games, starting 3… Posted a perfect 2-0 record, including two shutouts… Collected 17.2 innings pitched, allowing one earned run and striking out 15… Went 6.2 scoreless innings of three-hit baseball at No. 3 Georgia (3/3)… Earned his second win over No. 3 Georgia a week later, pitching three perfect innings of no-hit ball in Statesboro… 

JUNIOR (2019): Pitched in 14 games with 13 starts...Had a team-best 7-1 record with a 4.26 ERA for the year...Was second on the team in strikeouts with 53. 

FRESHMAN AND SOPHOMORE (2017-2018)(at East Georgia): Started 15 games and posted a 3.90 ERA with 69 strikeouts as a freshman… Threw a no-hitter against IMG Academy (4-14-17)… Started the JUCO All-Star Game.

PREP: Played for coach J.R. Doyle at Screven County High School… Named Second Team All-Region 3-AA Shortstop as a junior… Named Region 3-AA Pitcher of the Year as a senior… Went 6-3 with a 0.66 ERA and 55 strikeouts as a senior… Also played football and basketball… Graduated with honors…

PERSONAL: Born Tyler Randall Owens on April 6, 1998 in Augusta, Ga. … Son of Regina and Timmy Owens… Has an older brother, Trenton… Mother (Regina Owens) and Uncle (Randall McBride) attended Georgia Southern.
