STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Baseball fell 14-4 in the series finale to Texas State on Sunday The Eagles took a 2-0 lead in the opening frame, but a four run third and a seven run fourth blew the game open. Next up for the Eagles is a Tuesday night contest against Charleston Southern. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

Mason McWhorter doubled down the right field line two pitches later to double the lead to 2-0.
TOP 3rd | TXST 4 - GS 2 | Texas State answered with four runs in the third inning off four hits with a walk and hit batter thrown in.
TOP 4th | TXST 11 - GS 2 | Back-to-back solo home runs to start the fourth inning pushed the lead to 6-2. The Bobcats would add five more in the inning to post a seven run frame off six hits, three walks and a hit batter.
TOP 6th | TXST 12 - GS 2 | The Bobcats pushed the lead to 10 in the sixth with an RBI single through the left side to go up 12-2.
BOT 6th | TXST 12 - GS 3 | With two outs in the sixth,
Noah Ledford cut the lead to 12-3 with a solo home run that cruised past the right field wall. It was his seventh home run of the season, most among Eagle batters.
TOP 7th | TXST 14 - GS 3 | Texas State got two in the seventh off two hits and a passed ball to post their largest lead of the day.
BOT 7th | TXST 14 - GS 4 | Tyler Martin rode his third home run of the season to centerfield, capping a 3-for-3 day.
