STATESBORO – Elijah McCadden tallied 18 points and seven rebounds and knocked down two big free throws with 3.1 seconds remaining to lift Georgia Southern to a 76-73 comeback victory over Radford in non-conference men's basketball action Friday night in Hanner Fieldhouse.

Isaiah Crawley finished with 15 points and seven rebounds, and
Calvin Wishart collected 12 points.
Ike Smith scored 11, and
Quan Jackson tallied eight points, a career-high 10 rebounds and four assists.
Key moments
With the Eagles trailing 65-60, Jackson was fouled attempting a 3-pointer just before the final media timeout with 3:44 to play. The junior made two from the stripe out of the timeout and ignited a 13-2 Eagle run. McCadden gave the Eagles (2-2) the lead for good with a huge rebound and putback, Smith drilled a triple from the corner and McCadden scored the final four points of the run on a dunk and a pair of free throws that put GS ahead 73-67 with 33 seconds to go.
Carlik Jones nailed a 3-pointer to keep Radford (1-2) alive, and the Highlanders sent Wishart to the line. The sophomore made the first attempt and missed the second, and Jones banked in a triple with six seconds to play to cut the margin to 74-73. McCadden was fouled and made two, and Jackson bothered Jones' desperation 3-point try as the buzzer sounded.
Key stats
Georgia Southern shot 52.8 percent in the second half, outscored Radford 16-8 in the final 3:44 and led for just 6:24 of the contest.

Georgia Southern plays host to longtime rival Mercer Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. The Eagles have played Mercer more than any other opponent, and it will be the Bears' first trip to Hanner Fieldhouse since 2007.
