Biography
Sophomore (2019-20): Played in 29 games, making 23 starts, and averaged 27.7 minutes a game • Led the Eagles in assists with 79, 3-pointers (59) and 3-point percentage (.383) • Shot 72 percent from the free-throw line • Scored in double figures 13 times and led the Eagles in assists in 13 games • Led the Eagles in scoring twice • Scored 15 points and made all three of his 3-point attempts against Louisiana in the Sun Belt Tourney (3/9) • Followed that with 10 points and four rebounds at in the quarterfinal game at Georgia State (3/11) • Scored 21 points and added six assists vs. Reinhardt (11/8) • Posted 17 points and five rebounds in 38 minutes at South Alabama (1/18).
Freshman (2018-19): Played in 30 contests and started the last 16 of the season • Averaged 5.2 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists a game • Missed three contests with injuries • Scored in double figures in five games and led the team in assists twice • Scored a season-high 14 points twice – vs. Pepperdine and against South Alabama at home • Added a season-high seven rebounds and two steals against the Jags • Collected season highs of six assists and five steals vs. Carver.
Prep: Minnesota Mr. Basketball finalist as a senior at Delano • Averaged 31.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 3.6 steals while leading the Tigers to the first state title in school history • Scored 19 in the championship contest and sealed the win with two free throws late to earn Tournament Most Outstanding Player Honors • It was just the third time Delano made the state tournament and the Tigers upset the No. 2, 3 and 4 seeds en route to the title • Named second-team all-state by USA Today • Averaged 27.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 8.1 assists and made 89 3-pointers in his junior season • Owns school records for career points (2,444), assists (798), steals (376) and 3-pointers (249) • Also collected 737 career rebounds and 92 blocked shots • Averaged 12.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists for D1Minnesota last summer on the AAU circuit • Played football for the first time in the fall of his senior season and caught 52 passes for 1,251 yards and 13 touchdowns to earn all-state honors.
