Prior to Sunday, the Eagles were on a three-game winning streak after defeating Charlotte, Winthrop and Kennesaw State. The Eagles held offensive power South Florida to only two goals and held the Bulls scoreless throughout the second half of the match. SCOUTING SOUTH ALABAMA
South Alabama has swept Sun Belt Player of the Week honors for the last two weeks and picked up nine votes in the national poll this week. The Jaguars have won three games in a row, and five of their last six, including a defeat of Florida State, then ranked No. 1 in the nation. South Alabama most recently defeated Ole Miss and Austin Peay, holding the two team to 22 total shots and a .364 shot-on-goal percentage. Junior Ashlynn Jones earned the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week award this past week after scoring the game-winning goal against Ole Miss.
