Hunter Thomas helped the Georgia Southern Eagles hand the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns their first conference series loss since 2013 after going five for 10 with a home run. Thomas opened the series with two singles, a walk and plated the first run of the game with a sacrifice bunt in the first inning. The redshirt junior tallied one of four home runs in Saturday's 7-4 win and came back with a two hit day on Sunday.

Evan Challenger allowed a home run to start the game but settled in to retire 14 straight batters in a 2-1 Georgia Southern win over the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns on Friday night. Challenger struck out a career-high nine batters including the side in the second and fifth innings. The lefthander allowed just two hits, the second one coming on a single in the fifth inning. Challenger tossed seven innings and walked just one batter to pick up the victory.
