Dalton Busby hit .429/.500/.643 at the plate last week and did not commit an error in four starts at shortstop. Busby drove in seven runs, totaled 9 bases, homered and scored two runs in four games last week. He tallied a hit in all four games and drove in multiple runs in all but one game. Busby opened the week going three for four in a near upset of #20 College of Charleston. The senior drove in two runs and scored a run in the 7-6 loss. Busby walked and plated two runs with a single in the series opener against ULM. The senior followed that up in the second game of the doubleheader with a three-run homer, a walk and a run scored. Busby also singled in the series finale.

Evan Challenger limited the ULM Warhawks to two unearned runs over 6.1 innings to help the Georgia Southern Eagles win the series opener and the first game of a doubleheader on Friday. Challenger worked four scoreless frames as the Eagles offense handed him a three-run lead in the first inning before allowing a pair of RBI singles in the fifth inning. The lefthander pitched into the seventh inning and struck out four batters while walking two. Challenger allowed six hits over 6.1 innings to pick up his fifth win of the season.
