Eagle Cross Country Runs in Sun Belt Championships on Sunday

Conference meet to be ran at Nash Farm Battlefield in Hampton, Ga.
STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Cross Country opens the postseason on Sunday morning with the 2015 Sun Belt Championships in Atlanta. The Eagles run the 5k loop starting from 10 a.m. at the Nash Farm Battlefield in Hampton, Ga.

A LITTLE EXTRA ON THE LINE
In addition to the league honors, Georgia Southern will have an opportunity to earn a point in the Southern vs. State rivalry series which is currently led by the Eagles, 1.5-0. The team with the highest finish on Sunday will claim the full point.

Georgia Southern takes eight runners to the conference meet, paced by Rebecca Parker. Bianka Loza, Erin Mullican, Ashton Lord, Chantelle Nicholls, Jinni Pethel, Megan Prangley and Bailey Willett complete this weekend's roster as the Eagles look for their first Sun Belt Cross Country Championship.
EAGLES RESTED AND POISED FOR POSTSEASON RUN
Georgia Southern runs for the first time in a fortnight on Sunday morning as the Eagles get prepared for the Sun Belt Championships. The meet provides an opportunity for three Georgia natives to run on familiar soil on the south side of Atlanta.
REGIONALS UP NEXT
Georgia Southern will learn its fate for continuing the 2015 campaign with a trip to the NCAA Regional Meet on Monday. The South Regional will be hosted by Alabama in Tuscaloosa on Nov. 13.
