Women’s Soccer Faces Coastal Carolina on Friday Night

STATESBORO, GA. – Georgia Southern Women's Soccer hosts its final home non-conference game on Friday night when Coastal Carolina comes to Statesboro for a 7 p.m. contest. Admission is free for the non-conference tilt and the match can be seen live on GS All-Access. The Eagles travel to face Jacksonville on Sunday at 2 p.m.

MERSON EARNS SHUTOUT RECORD
Last Friday Katie Merson inked her name in the Georgia Southern record books by breaking the school record with her 17th career shutout. She also helped our offensively, earning her first offensive assist on Jennifer Wittick's goal to put the Eagles 3-0 up.

FIRST BIG TEN WIN
Georgia Southern Women's Soccer captured its first win over a Big Ten Conference foe with a 2-1 victory over Indiana in the second week of the season. Melinda Lukas scored two goals in the victory with marks in the fifth and 21st minutes.

GATA GAME SET FOR OCT. 24
The 2014 Women's Soccer GATA Game is set for October 24th against Texas State. The marquee contest is a chance for all Georgia Southern student-athletes to come together and support each other.

SUN BELT PLAY: COMING SOON
Georgia Southern's inaugural season in the Sun Belt Conference features four home games beginning on October 3rd when Arkansas State comes to town. Two days later the Eagles will face Arkansas Little Rock at the friendly confines.
