Georgia Southern's freshman leadoff batter did her job this week, going 6-for-13 at the plate with three stolen bases. The Dacula, Ga. native drove in the tying run twice in extra innings, helping the Eagles eventually earn a 6-5 win in the series finale, a 13-inning marathon. She also has a seven game hit streak which ranks as the second-longest this season for the Eagles.

Senior pitcher Sarah Purvis was dominant this week, winning a pair of conference pitcher's duels against Chattanooga. She took the series opener 3-1 over the Mocs, working around three hits. She pitched all 13 innings of the 6-5 win over Chattanooga on Sunday, allowing just one earned run while striking out 11 batters. In the midweek game against South Carolina, Purvis gave up just three runs on five hits with six strikeouts. She is now 18-10 on the year with 239 strikeouts.
