Ben Morgan went 8 for 19 with six RBI and five runs scored in five games last week. Morgan hit a home run on Sunday and drove in the go-ahead runs in Georgia Southern's seven-run eighth inning rally. Morgan opened the week with three hits and two runs scored against #13 Clemson. The senior infielder picked up two hits in game two against the Tigers. Morgan plated a pair of runs with a double in game two against Appalachian State before going two for three in the series finale. The Evans, Ga. native scored two runs and drove in three others. He homered and walked twice in the 10-7 win.

Ryan Frederick picked up two wins and posted a 1.69 ERA in three games last week. Frederick started against #13 Clemson and picked the win after allowing just one run over three innings. Frederick allowed three hits and one walk in his first mid-week start of the season. The sophomore righthander appeared twice against Appalachian State over the weekend and combined to hold the Mountaineers scoreless over 2.1 innings. Frederick did not allow a hit over the two games and struck out a combined three batters. Frederick picked up his second win of the week on Sunday after the Eagles rallied in the eighth inning. Frederick retired the Mountaineers in order in the top of the eighth and struck out two batters in the ninth.
