Cross Country Posts Career Bests at JSU Foothill Invitational

OXFORD, Ala. - The Georgia Southern cross country team posted career bests en route to a sixth place finish at the JSU Foothill Invitational.
The Eagles finished sixth behind fellow Sun Belt Conference member Troy and UT Martin.
Freshman Karli Koning led GSU across the finish line for the second-straight meet and posted a career high time of 19:01.27.
The Eagles also got career best times from their four other runners.
Fellow freshmen Abby Booth and Rebecca Parker both best their previous best times from this year. Booth finished 17th overall with a time of 20:01.18, and Parker crossed the finish line with a time of 21:50.93.
Ashton Lord finished 18th overall with a time of 20:02.59, while Katelyn Chancey rounded out the Eagles with a time of 22:07.74.
Cross Country returns to competition October 11th at the Disney Cross Country Classic in Orlando, Fla.
