With its homecoming win over Idaho, Georgia Southern became the first Sun Belt Conference football team in history to begin its inaugural year of membership with a 4-0 mark in league play.

7
Seven different Eagles scored in last Saturday's victory over Idaho with rushing touchdowns by Kevin Ellison (2), L.A. Ramsby and Ean Days, receiving TDs by B.J. Johnson and Matt Breida, an interception return by Matt Dobson and points after by Alex Hanks.

With Matt Dobson's second interception of the year to help secure the Eagles' win over Idaho, Georgia Southern now has 10 as a team, tying the total for the entire 2013 season.

Georgia Southern owns the top ranking among Sun Belt schools in 13 different statistical categories: Total offense, rushing offense, scoring offense, pass efficiency, pass efficiency defense, turnover margin, 4th-down conversion percentage, 4th down conversion percentage defense, red zone defense, sacks allowed, passes intercepted, passing yards per completion and turnovers lost.

17
The Eagles held Idaho to only 17 first downs, the lowest total by an opponent this year and lowest since allowing only 15 in the victory over Florida in the 2013 season finale.

A 10-play scoring drive that covered 90 yards against Idaho was the Eagles' second-longest of the 2014 season, the longest a 94-yard drive on seven plays at Georgia Tech. The Eagles had three scoring drives of 80 or more yards against the Yellow Jackets and tied that total against the Vandals.

177
Combined total number of Eagles (92) and Panthers (85) from the state of Georgia on team rosters with 110 (65 for Georgia State, 48 for Georgia Southern) from areas defined in the Atlanta metro area.
