Lord Posts Career Best at Disney Cross Country Classic

ORLANDO, Fla. - Karli Koning paced the Georgia Southern cross country team as the Eagles finished seventh at the Disney Cross Country Classic on Saturday. The meet aired on ESPN3.
GSU placed ahead of Florida International and Presbyterian in a field of 29 teams with Malone finishing first in the event.
Koning finished 24th overall and posted her fourth-straight time of under 20 minutes. Koning crossed the finish line with a time of 19:35.29.
Ashton Lord ran a career best time of 20:01.48 and was the second Eagle across the finish line. Lord bested her previous career best set last time out at the JSU Foothills Invitational and finished 35th.
Freshmen Abigail Booth and Bailey Willett were the next two Eagles to finish. Booth ran a 20:25.22, while Willett finished with a time of 20:56.94.
Brooke Stanley ran in her first meet of the season and finished with a time of 23:36.60, while fellow sophomore Katelyn Chancey finished with a season best time of 21:57.23.
