¦ Georgia Southern caps its three-game league homestand against Davidson Saturday at 5 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse.
¦ It's the first of two scheduled meetings against the Wildcats this season.
¦ Georgia Southern is 3-5 in its last eight with all three wins coming in league play. The Eagles are coming off a 68-49 home loss to Elon Monday.
¦ The Eagles are 3-4 in Hanner Fieldhouse this season.
¦ Junior Anna Claire Knight leads GSU in scoring at 15.5 points a game and has scored in double figures in 14 of the last 15 outings. She recorded the first triple-double in program history and the 11th in the country this season with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists at Samford Jan. 6.
¦ MiMi DuBose, who is averaging 10.4 points a contest, enters the game tied for second in all-time 3-pointers (163) at Georgia Southern, four away from first, held by Svetlana Trjeskal (1995-99). The senior scored 16 points at Chattanooga Jan. 4 to top the 1,000-point mark for her career. This will be her 100th career contest.
¦ Senior Lacie Dowling averages 8.8 points a game, and sophomore Briana Jones is averaging 7.7 points and 8.5 rebounds and has four double-doubles this season.
¦ Senior Danielle Spencer is leading the team in rebounding with 8.9 a game and is 35 boards shy of becoming the 18th Eagle in school history to top the 500 mark for her career.
¦ Davidson enters the game winners of three of its last four and coming off a 78-59 victory over UNCG Monday night.
¦ The Wildcats are second in the SoCon standings with a 5-1 record.
¦ Davidson is led by a trio of double-digit scorers in Laura Murray, Dakota Dukes and Hannah Early. Murray averages 18.9 points per game, good for second in the SoCon, and Early scores 14.8 points an outing. Dukes averages 13.7 points and 7.9 rebounds.
¦ Murray and Early have each scored 20-plus points in a game five times this season.
¦ Only eight players have played for Davidson all season, and seven of the eight play 20 minutes a contest or more.
¦ Davidson is 3-5 on the road and 1-1 in league road contests.

Series History
¦ Davidson leads the all-time series 24-19 and has won the last five. The Wildcats have swept the season series against Georgia Southern in each of the last two seasons and won 20 of the last 24 games against the Eagles.
¦ The Eagles are 8-12 against Davidson in Hanner Fieldhouse and have lost the last two meetings there.
¦ Last meeting and last meeting in Hanner (2/2/13): Davidson's Sophia Aleksandravicius posted 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Georgia Southern could not overcome a 15-point first-half deficit as the Wildcats topped the Eagles 73-61.
¦ Anna Claire Knight scored 17 points to lead Georgia Southern, and Meredyth Frye tallied 10 points and six rebounds. Alexis Sams and MiMi DuBose each scored nine.
¦ Dakota Dukes scored 10 points for Davidson, and Shneeka Center netted 11 off the bench.
¦ Davidson shot 51 percent from the field in the first half and scored 16 points off of 13 Eagle miscues to build a 43-28 lead at the break. With the Eagles trailing 51-35 early in the second half, Frye scored four points in an 8-2 Georgia Southern run that cut the lead to 10 points.
¦ But the Wildcats responded with an 8-2 stretch to push the lead back to 16, and Georgia Southern could not work the margin under double digits for the rest of the game.
¦ Both teams finished the contest with a 45 percent shooting mark from the floor, but Georgia Southern committed 20 turnovers, and Davidson scored 27 points off the miscues in the game.

¦ Danielle Spencer has two double-doubles this season. The senior had 12 points and 12 rebounds against Jacksonville State (11/16) and 12 points and 17 rebounds at Jacksonville (11/24).
¦ Spencer notched her 400th career rebound at Mercer (12/4) and played in her 100th career game at Chattanooga (1/4).
¦ Lacie Dowling tied the school record with eight 3-pointers against Detroit (11/30) and scored a career-high 26 points in the game. She shares the record with Allie Rousseau, who notched eight triples vs. Appalachian State Feb. 8, 2000. The performance helped Dowling earn all-tournament honors at the FAU Thanksgiving Tournament.
¦ Dowling has played in every game this season and started the last 15.
¦ Anna Claire Knight is 223 points away from 1,000 and 61 rebounds away from 400 for her career. The junior has two career double-doubles and has started the last 32 contests.
¦ Sophomore Briana Jones, who sat out last season after transferring from James Madison, has four double-doubles in her first campaign playing for the Eagles. She has started every game.
¦ Senior Jordi Cook is two games played away from 100 for her career. She was one of three Eagles to play in all 31 games in 2012-13.
¦ Sierra Kirkland scored a career high 11 points at Chattanooga (1/4). The sophomore has played in every game in her career.
¦ MiMi DuBose has played in 81 straight games and made 77 consecutive starts.
¦ The Eagles' 79 points against Detroit (11/30) are the most they have scored since posting 80 in an 87-80 home setback to Chattanooga Dec. 4, 2010. GSU's 11 triples in the contest are the most since hitting 11 against Davidson Jan. 8, 2010. The Eagles also scored 79 points against Wofford (12/16).
¦ The Eagles improved to 29-9 in home openers with their 63-50 win over Jacksonville State Nov. 16.
¦ The Eagles are 49-34 in Hanner Fieldhouse in the last seven seasons.
¦ For the first time in four seasons, Georgia Southern opened conference play at home.
¦ Since the 2010-11 season, Georgia Southern has five losses by one point and 14 losses by five points or less.
¦ Georgia Southern dropped to 23-18 in season openers after falling to Auburn 69-59 Nov. 9.
¦ With their loss at No. 7 Kentucky Nov. 13, the Eagles fell to 0-14 against ranked opponents since the 2000-01 season.
