STATESBORO - Georgia Southern women's basketball has announced its non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign, which consists of nine games before Sun Belt conference play begins in mid-December, as well as the two legs of the MAC/SBC Challenge.
As previously announced, the Eagles will open up the 2025-26 season against Central Michigan on Monday, November 3 as a part of the MAC/SBC Challenge. Georgia Southern will then travel to Tallahassee to take on Florida State on Wednesday, November 6.
On Sunday, November 9, Georgia Southern will host nationally-ranked LSU at 2 p.m. at the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center. The Tigers, with Savannah native Flau'jae Johnson, will be the first nationally-ranked opponent to play the Eagles in the new Convocation Center and will be the first nationally-ranked opponent to play in Statesboro since #12/#11 Georgia on November 15, 2011.
Georgia Southern will then travel to Missouri State on Tuesday, November 18, to face the Bears in a homecoming game for Head Coach Hana Haden. The Springfield, Mo., native played at Kickapoo HS before embarking on her collegiate playing career.
The Eagles return home on Saturday, November 22, to face in-state rival Mercer. A quick road trip to Charleston, S.C., to face Charleston Southern on Tuesday, November 25, follows, along with a Sunday, November 30 game at Wofford.
December features a trio of non-conference home games as the Eagles welcome in North Florida on Thursday, December 4, as well as Furman on Saturday, December 7. The Eagles will also host Coastal Georgia on Friday, December 12 for its annual Kids Day Field Trip game at The Hill.
The final non-conference game will be on Saturday, February 7, as the second leg of the MAC/SBC Challenge. The Eagles will host a MAC opponent to be determined at 1 p.m. on that day.
