Women's Tennis Competes in Kennesaw Fall Classic

The Eagles competed against players from Kennesaw State, Florida A & M, and College of Coastal Georgia this weekend at the Kennesaw Fall Classic where they participated in three doubles flights and three singles flights. A highlight for the Eagles was Paola Garrido and Caitlin Kitchen winning the Flight B Doubles Draw. They defeated three teams in a row, finishing with an 8-5 win over Kennesaw State's Virginie Stein and Blaire LaSure in the finals.
Stephanie Woods and Mary Phillips Smith defeated teams from College of Coastal Georgia and Florida A & M but lost 8-4 in the finals of the A Doubles draw to Kennesaw State's Jana Heukinghaus and Alexandra Apostu.
Jordana Klein, a finalst in the A flight, was defeated by Kennesaw State's Virginie Stein in a match tie break in the third set (6-3, 5-7, 10-4).
The Eagles next competition is October 18-21 at the ITA Regional Tournament in Athens, GA.
