STATESBORO, Ga. - Always wanted to take the field as a collegiate baseball player? Well the Georgia Southern baseball team will be giving you that chance in January.
The Eagles are holding the Georgia Southern Baseball Fantasy Camp on Jan. 10-12 at J.I. Clements Stadium. Campers will get to meet and receive instruction from the current coaching staff as well as a number of former Eagle greats including Todd Greene, Rob Fitzpatrick, Scott Ryder, Brian Pierce, Dennis Dove, Chris Beck and Everett Teaford. This also makes a great Christmas gift for those fathers who have everything.
The camp will feature instruction, practice, a full 9-inning game, ticket to the Georgia Southern vs Western Carolina men's basketball game, a ticket to the Evening with the All-Stars banquet and a Friday night social. Additional tickets to the basketball game and Evening with the All-Stars are $8 and $100 ($50 for kids) respectively.
The cost is $300 dollars and that includes a meal Friday and Saturday night. Participants will need to reserve their own hotel room. A block of rooms are available at the Spring Hill Suites.
Campers must be 21 years or older and will need to bring gloves, cleats/athletic shoes and baseball pants.
