One of the Eagles not to make the Sun Belt League All-Star squad, Brent Pugh (Atlanta, Ga.), has had a fine season for the Brookhaven Bucks, where he is hitting .293 with five doubles and 10 RBIs.
Chase Griffin (Leesburg, Ga.) continues to hit in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, where he is batting .310 with eight doubles, three home runs and 23 RBIs for the Glenn Falls Golden Eagles.
Over in the Texas Collegiate League, Stryker Brown (Dalton, Ga.) moved above .300 and is hitting .315 with four doubles and 13 RBIs for the Alexandria Aces.
While in the Valley League, Sam Howard (Cartersville, Ga.) is 3-2 with a 2.62 ERA in six starts for the Staunton Braves. Howard has struggled with walks but has struck out 27 batters in 32.1 innings.
