Home of the Georgia Southern Men's and Women's Tennis programs, the Hanner Tennis Complex is also used for recreational purposes by University students, faculty, staff and retirees.
The University recently made the decision to make the Hanner Tennis Complex (located north of Hanner Fieldhouse off Hwy 67/Fair Rd.) a controlled access facility. Current Georgia Southern students, faculty, staff and retirees may access the courts by utilizing a valid Georgia Southern Eagle ID card.
The tennis court gates will be open from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The tennis courts gates will be locked and will be accessible via the ID card swipe system between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and midnight. Saturdays and Sundays the gates will be accessible via the ID card swipe system from 6:00 a.m. until midnight.
In addition, to conserve energy, the University has modified the lights at the facility to be turned on using a valid Georgia Southern Eagle ID card. The lights, after 60 minutes, with a five-minute warning, will turn off until the card is swiped again. The lights will be turned off at 12:00 a.m. This facility does not allow black-soled shoes, gum, pets, or skateboards.
NOTE: If you have a lost or damaged your Eagle ID, please contact the Eagle Card Center located in Russell Union during normal business hours or visit them online at http://services.georgiasouthern.edu/aux/eaglecard
