2011 Baseball Season Tickets Are On Sale

STATESBORO, Ga. - With just 25 days until first pitch between Georgia Southern and George Washington, it is time to order your 2011 baseball season tickets. Season tickets start at $70 for adults and $35 for youth and include more than 30 home games. The Eagles play 14 of their first 16 games at home in J.I. Clements Stadium.
Highlights of the 2011 home schedule include five games against ranked opponents, the season opener with George Washington, and a home series against the defending SoCon champion. The Citadel.
Season ticket prices for 2011 range from $35 for youth general admission to $100 for adult reserved seats. Adult general admission tickets $70 and reserved seats are $100. Youth general tickets start at $35 for general admission seats, while reserved seats are just $50. Senior and faculty and staff general admission tickets are available for purchase for $60.
The 2011 season opens Friday, February 18th, at J.I. Clements Stadium with a three-game series against George Washington. The Eagles continue an eight-game homestand with two mid-week games against 19th-ranked Georgia Tech on February 22nd and 23rd. The homestand concludes with a three-game weekend series with North Carolina Central starting on the 25th.
Georgia Southern returns from its first road game of the season to host #26 St. John's in a three-game series beginning March 4th. The Red Storm was selected second in the Big East preseason poll after winning the Big East Tournament last season. St. John's is led by sophomore All-America selection Jeremy Baltz, who hit .396 with 24 home runs and 85 RBIs in his freshman season.
The next weekend, the Eagles open conference play at home against Furman and then play host to the defending SoCon regular season and tournament champion, The Citadel.
Elon, Wofford and Davidson visit J.I. Clements in 2011. The Phoenix travel to Statesboro for a weekend series on April 22nd through the 24th. Georgia Southern will face Wofford the weekend of May 6th . GSU plays host to Davidson in a doubleheader Friday, May 13th, and a single game on Monday, the 16th.
