STATESBORO, Ga. --- Following a 1-1 weekend in Corpus Christi, the Georgia Southern men's basketball team has fallen two spots to No. 16 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll released this week.
The Eagles defeated host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 78-69 but lost 85-80 to Rhode Island, currently ranked No. 22 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll and No. 23 in the Associated Press poll.
Georgia Southern remains the only Southern Conference member in the top 25. Davidson (58) and Wofford (5) were among the schools receiving votes.
The top three schools of Butler, St. Mary's and Gonzaga remain unchanged from the previous week.
