Emily Snider joins the Georgia Southern softball staff as a student assistant coach for the upcoming 2017-18 season.

Snider was a two-time All-Sun Belt Conference performer for the Eagles and earned NFCA Second-Team All-Region accolades as a senior in 2017. Her .387 batting average was the fifth-highest single-season batting average in GS Softball history in 2017 and her .810 slugging percentage was a single-season school record. She finished her stellar four-year career with a .298 batting average, 31 home runs, 120 RBI and a .526 slugging percentage and Snider appears in the Top 10 in eight different career statistical categories.

A native of Tennille, Ga., Snider was a two-time All-State performer for Brentwood HS before playing collegiately at Georgia Southern. She graduated from Georgia Southern with her bachelor's degree in Accounting in May of 2017 and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Accounting from the institution.
