Jack Kyle was hired in January of 2024 at Georgia Southern University and serves as an Assistant Equipment Manager - Olympic Sports for GS after a six-year career as an undergraduate and graduate student at Troy University (2018 - 2024) where he worked with the football team.
In his current role, Jack oversees the day to day equipment operations for nine different Olympic sports which includes the athletes, coaching staff, and support staff for each team. Managing the ordering, inventory, and distribution of equipment for each team. And also directing and managing laundry services and transportation of all equipment on road trips.

Jack also manages a group of seven student workers while also working in hand with the student workers of each team and their respective director of operations, assistant coaches, and head coach. From Jack, "I believe that while a majority of my young career has been in football, I find that working in Olympic Sports has given me a new appreciation for what Equipment Managers can be called to do and how we can and should serve athletes on and off the field. While also rounding out my equipment experience and learning new skills."
Prior to joining Georgia Southern, Jack was an undergraduate and graduate student at Troy University. He was a crucial component and leader of equipment operations for the football team. Was a part of three 10+ win seasons and three bowl game appearances and won two Sun Belt conference championships in 2022 and 2023. All while being heavily involved with different organizations on campus, Greek life where he served on the Executive Cabinet (FarmHouse Fraternity), and volunteer work with other departments in the Athletic Department.
Originally from Birmingham, Alabama where he attended Vestavia Hills High School. Playing football all four years and wrestling all four years, winning two wrestling state championships and being named wrestling team captain his senior year.
Jack and his wife, Susie, got married on June 22, 2024.Â
