HOW IT HAPPENED:
NOTES:
UP NEXT: The Eagles close out the series tomorrow afternoon (February 22nd), with first pitch set for 1 PM.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Eagles managed to get two across in the opening frame off a Bulls' error, followed by an RBI-single to center by Nico Senese.
- Five free passes and four hits allowed USF to get eight across in their home first to give them a six-run advantage.
- Two leadoff singles and a hit batter would load the bases full of Eagles before Jack Myers drove one in off a fielder's choice. Unfortunately, back-to-back strikeouts stopped the offensive threat.
- In the third, Max Prozny slapped a double before stealing third. The next batter saw Brady Christman get his first career RBI with a sac-fly to center to score Prozny.
- However, USF used 14 hits in their final three innings at the plate to secure the win and the series.
NOTES:
- In his first collegiate start, Bennett Edwards would go two-for-two on the day, including singles in the second and fourth innings
