Eagles travel to App State this weekend
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern softball returns to midweek action with a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon against College of Charleston at Beautiful Eagle Field. First pitch of game one is set for 3 p.m. with game two 30 minutes following. The games are scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN+.

Bailey Holland tossed four innings allowing one run on five hits and Morgan Kendrick picked up her first save of the season tossing three hitless innings. Georgia Southern dropped game two, 2-1, against the Golden Eagles in an extra inning thriller before responding in game three with a 6-1 win.
- The pitching staff held the Golden Eagles to just four runs on the weekend for a combined 1.12 ERA.
- The opening series win marks the first Sun Belt series win for Georgia Southern since the 2020 season where the Eagles took two from ULM in Statesboro.
- Junior Emma Davis went 5-for-10 (.500) on the weekend including two doubles, two runs scored, and a walk. Davis moved back up in the lineup to the second spot in game three of the series.
- Alana Barnard picked up her second victory of the season in as many starts over the weekend. The junior got the start in the circle in game three as she tossed 5.2 innings allowing just one run on three hits and picked up a strikeout. Barnard is holding opponents to a .158 batting average in conference play.
