LAST TIME OUT

Georgia Southern hosted the Hail Southern Classic at Beautiful Eagle Field this past weekend going 3-2 on the weekend. The Eagles picked up a pair of wins over Rider and one over Maryland while dropping one to each team.
Gracie Bellard hit .500 over the weekend going 4-for-8 with a double, two runs batted in, and a pair of runs scored.
Alana Barnard made her first start of the season since returning from injury. The junior picked up her first win of the season tossing 6.0 innings allowing just two hits and tallied a strikeout.

Faith Barth paces the Georgia Southern offense batting .333 including two doubles, a home run, 15 runs batted in, and 12 runs scored. The senior has five multi-hit performances and leads the team with four multi-RBI games.

SUN BELT OPENER

Georgia Southern opens up Sun Belt Conference play this weekend hosting Southern Miss at Beautiful Eagle Field March 14-16.

SETTING THE TONE

Since taking over leadoff duties, Christensen has hit .286 including two doubles and three runs batted in. The freshman has been walked six times and has six runs scored in her 10 games as leadoff.
