Eagles are on the road for the next six games
STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern softball team hits the road for its first midweek matchup against Mercer at Sikes Field. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

LAST TIME OUT
The Eagles went undefeated on the weekend hosting the GATA Challenge at Beautiful Eagle Field. Georgia Southern walked off Campbell in game one as Delanie Thames launched a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to give the Eagles the 5-3 win. Georgia Southern would again need a walk off in its second game against Campbell on Saturday as Kyla Maxwell recorded an RBI double to score Kayla Christensen in the ninth inning. In between the two games, the Eagles picked up wins against Fairfield, 7-1, and Oakland, 6-2.
HAVE A LITTLE FAITH
Senior infielder Faith Barth had an explosive weekend at the plate going 6-for-13 (.462) tallying a hit in every game of the GATA Challenge. On Friday, Barth had two multi-hit performances with two hits in each game. Against Fairfield, Barth launched her first home run of the season and tied her career high with four runs batted in. Barth is currently on a six game hitting streak and seven game reached base streak.

The Eagles are back on the road at the Charge on Classic hosted by UCF at the UCF Softball Complex. Georgia Southern opens the tournament against Georgia Mason at 9 a.m. before its matchup with North Florida at 11:30 a.m.
