STATESBORO - The fifth-ranked Georgia Southern rifle squad returns to action on Saturday, taking on Wofford in SoCon action in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at the Taylor Center Rifle Range. Action begins at 8:30 a.m. and features a pair of smallbore and air rifle relays.
Saturday's action was scheduled to take place at The Citadel and also feature the Bulldogs, but range issue made that location unshootable and Wofford graciously stepped up and offered to host the Eagles.
Georgia Southern is 7-0 after posting a 4,731 to down #14 Army, #19 North Georgia and Schreiner last weekend at home.
This will be the SoCon opener for Georgia Southern as a later match against UNG will count as the conference tilt between the two. The Eagles have won 28 consecutive SoCon matches dating back to a Oct. 31, 2020 loss to UAB at home.
