STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Athletics and the Athletic Foundation have announced a new multi-year partnership with Aramark Sports + Entertainment (Aramark) as its concessions operator beginning with the 2024-25 academic year. Aramark is an award-winning hospitality provider at more than 60 premier stadiums, arenas, and sports facilities across North America.
The new food and beverage partnership will serve six of Georgia Southern's competition facilities, including Allen E. Paulson Stadium, Hanner Fieldhouse, Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center, J.I. Clements Stadium, Eagle Field at GS Softball Complex, and Eagle Field at Erk Park. Aramark's industry-leading expertise will enhance the service at Georgia Southern's sports venues while prioritizing food and beverage quality, efficiency, safety, and enjoyment for fans at home events.
"We are relentless in our pursuit to enhance our fans' gameday experience across all our venues," said Georgia Southern Director of Athletics Jared Benko. "Partnering with Aramark underscores our commitment to this crucial aspect of our operations. Aramark, a leader in delivering top-tier experiences at collegiate and professional venues nationwide, will significantly boost our efforts to reimagine the gameday experience. Their investment will enable us to introduce new menu options, increase points of sale, and upgrade our infrastructure to provide higher quality food."
Aramark will expand cashless payment options, including credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. It will also significantly increase the number of points of sale throughout venues, which will lead to shorter wait times and a better fan experience. Additionally, Aramark will adopt the "Soar Up Program," which lets fans round up their purchases to the nearest dollar at Paulson Stadium concession stands, supporting the Eagle Nation Collective.
Aramark will continue to partner with Statesboro-area restaurants such as Dolan's, Surchero's, Stoners Pizza, and more to give fans a variety of local food options and will also rebrand all of the concession stands at Allen E. Paulson Stadium.
"We are excited to collaborate with Georgia Southern Athletics to deliver a fresh and innovative food and beverage experience to their dedicated fans across various sports," said Alison Birdwell, President and CEO of Aramark Sports + Entertainment. "Our commitment to quality and efficiency, along with our emphasis on highlighting local culinary favorites, will make every stadium visit both seamless and memorable. We look forward to enhancing the gameday experience with cutting-edge culinary innovations and outstanding service."
