Georgia Southern makes its first appearance at the Spartan Suncoast Invitational at Palm Aire Country Club. The Eagles are coming off of a sixth place team finish at the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic. Haley Yerxa led the Eagles shooting 4-under par over the three day tournament and Louise Reau finished shooting 1-under par.
Newton makes her 37th career start, Yerxa makes her 17th career start, Plascencia makes her sixth appearance this season in the team lineup, freshman Louise Reau makes their seventh career start in the Eagle lineup and Abbey Schimpf will make her Eagle debut.
Next Up
The Eagles are scheduled for match play against Augusta on Saturday, Feb. 24 and Sunday, Feb. 25. The teams will tee off at Scarborough Bluff on Saturday and Ohoopee Match Club on Sunday at 8 a.m.
