Eagles Set to Compete in The Mason Rudolph

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern women's golf heads to its second tournament of the season, competing in The Mason Rudolph Championship hosted by Vanderbilt, Sept. 18-20.

The three-day event will be hosted at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tennessee, as the 15-team event features a traditional 18-hole format beginning at 9 a.m. each day.

The field will consist of host Vanderbilt, Arizona State, Clemson, Charleston, FAU, Florida, Georgia Southern, Long Beach, Louisville, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Northwestern, Purdue, and Western Kentucky.

Three new Eagles made their debut in Georgia Southern's first tournament of the year, as Kathryn DeLoach, Lili Nelson, and Annie Jin, all qualified for the Boilermaker Classic. DeLoach collected a T40 finish in the event, while Nelson finished T78, and Jin finished T85.
The Eagles will send Haven Ward, Margaux Brejo, Ida Lundh, Lili Nelson, and Kathryn DeLoach to The Mason Rudolph, as Ida Lundh will make her 2026-27 debut.
Margaux Brejo collected her first top 20 finish of the season at the Boilermaker Classic, posting a two-under final round 70. Brejo (78-74-70=222) paced the Eagles in the tournament, tallying nine birdies across all three rounds.
The duo of Kathryn DeLoach and Lili Nelson both claimed state championships in the state of Georgia before heading to campus, as Nelson won the GHSA 1A State Championship, while DeLoach secured the GHSA Private School Championship. The duo shot a combined 16-under par in their respective titles before officially joining the Eagles this season on campus.
Haven Ward is primed for her fourth season in college and her second in Statesboro after becoming the fourth student-athlete in program history to earn Newcomer of the Year honors, joining Mia Kness (2022), Haley Yerxa (2023), and LoraLie Cowart (2025). She carded back-to-back rounds under par at the Valspar Augusta Invitational, earning her a Women's Golfer of the Week nod by the Sun Belt Conference.
Margaux Brejo closed out her first collegiate season with Georgia Southern last year, finishing tied for seventh at Sun Belt Championships. Her even-par finish was the lowest tournament by the Fontainebleau, France, native and was one of her two top-10 finishes on the season. Brejo also collected a tied for ninth place finish in the Eagles "The Southern" tournament in the fall. Brejo added another milestone to her amateur trophy case when she was crowned the champion of The French Women's Amateur Championship defeating her opponent 7&8.
