Brejo Finishes Top 20, Eagles Complete Boilermaker Classic Tuesday

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Georgia Southern women's golf completed the final round of the Boilermaker Classic on Tuesday afternoon, finishing 12th overall in the team portion of the event. Second year student-athlete, Margaux Brejo, collected her first top 20 finish, posting a two-under final round 70.
Brejo (78-74-70=222) paced the Eagles for her first top 20 finish of the season, finishing tied for 20th in the individual portion. She tallied nine birdies across all three rounds, including a two-under, three birdie effort in round three to catapult her inside the top 25.
Three Eagles made their collegiate debuts at the Boilermaker Classic this week, as Lili Nelson, Kathryn DeLoach, and Annie Jin qualified for the season opener. DeLoach posted the lowest round for the Eagles in round one in a tough setup for all competitors. Georgia Southern next competes on Sept. 18-20, in Nashville, Tennessee, playing at The Mason Rudolph tournament hosted by Vanderbilt.
