Nelson and DeLoach Collect Top 15 Finishes, Eagles Finish Sixth at The Mason Rudolph

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Georgia Southern women's golf completed the final round of The Mason Rudolph on Sunday afternoon, finishing sixth overall in the team portion of the event. First year student-athletes, Kathryn DeLoach and Lili Nelson, collected their first top 15 finishes of the season.

DeLoach (73-73-69=215) posted a career round on Sunday, collecting three birdies on the back nine to card a two-under round. He efforts put her at two-over for the tournament, collecting nine birdies and finishing tied for 14th. On Sunday alone, DeLoach climbed 19 spots on the individual side of the tournament, and was the low round of the day for the Eagles.

Fellow first year, Lili Nelson (72-72-70=214), also collected her first round under par as an Eagle, rebounding from a one-over front nine with a bogey free two-under back nine. Nelson climbed nine spots on the day finishing tied for 11th in her second collegiate tournament.

The first-year duo paced the Eagles for the week as Georgia Southern (290-289-287=886) finished sixth in the team portion of the tournament. The Eagles finished six shots clear of Louisville, and placed ahead of North Carolina, Northwestern, Clemson, Western Kentucky, Charleston, Long Beach State, Florida Atlantic, and Middle Tennessee.
