Meet is scheduled for Jan. 26-27 in New York

STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern track and field team is back in action at the Dr. Sanders Columbia Challenge in New York Jan. 26-27. Events are scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday.

The Eagles are coming off of six top five performances at the Gamecock Opener Jan. 13 at South Carolina. NaJ Watson, Sofia Molina, Itzia Mejia Garcia, and Alanna Smith all placed their names in the record book and teamed up for a 4x400 third place finish and the third-fastest time in program history.

Georgia Southern returns to the track Feb. 10 in Birmingham, Alabama at the Bulldog Invitational for its final tuneup before turning to the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
