The Eagles play in the tournament for the second-straight season.

Georgia Southern competes in the Gopher Invitational at Windsong Farm for the second consecutive season. GS opened the 2021-22 campaign at the event and finished 10th. Ben Carr took third to lead the Eagles, and Wilson Andress tied for 25th.
Georgia Southern is coming off a second-place finish in the Fighting Irish Classic last Monday. Sparked by Mason Williams' 64, the Eagles (-20) shot 12-under in the final round, the lowest score of the day and second-lowest round of the tournament. GS finished a stroke behind Florida (-21) and a stroke clear of North Carolina (-19).
Williams' 64 is tied for 10th for lowest round in school history, and the fifth-year senior (-9) finished third. Carr (-8) took fourth with back-to-back 66s, and Hogan Ingram (-6) fired a 67 in the final round to tie for seventh.
Georgia Southern returns 10 lettermen to the 2022-23 roster, and the Eagles are coming off their 16th NCAA Championship Finals appearance. All five Eagles who played in the lineup in the NCAA Regionals and Finals are back and will play this weekend. It's the same lineup the Eagles have had in their last six stroke-play events, dating back to last season.
Carr and Williams both earned PING All-America Honorable Mention honors and PING All-Region accolades. Williams tied for 20th in the NCAA Finals, and Carr was the runner-up at the 122nd playing of the U.S. Amateur in August, earning an exemption to the 2023 US Open and a likely invitation to the 2023 Masters.
Carr makes his 43rd career start in the lineup, Williams makes his 34th start and Andress will make his 27th appearance in the lineup. Hogan Ingram makes his 14th start, and Baker will be in the lineup for the 11th time.
Hayden Carner will play in the Minnesota Golf Classic, an individual tournament at Pioneer Creek Golf Course. He is scheduled to play 18 holes Saturday and 36 Sunday.
The Eagles are paired with Rutgers, Arkansas State and Furman for the first two rounds Sunday and tee off the 10th hole at 8:30 a.m. ET.
