
Morgan Blythe Named Men's Golf PING All-Region

Junior earns the honor for the first time
CARLSBAD, Calif. - Georgia Southern junior men's golfer Morgan Blythe has been named an NCAA Division I PING All-Region honoree, as announced Saturday by the GCAA. Players across six regions and 82 schools earned all-region honors in 2026 and advance to the ballot for PING All-America plaudits. It's the first time Blythe has earned the honor.
Blythe, from Newcastle, England, was named first-team All-Sun Belt and the Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year after posting a season scoring average was 70.67, coming in 36 rounds. That average was the sixth-lowest in program history. His low round was a 64 at the Johnnie-O Collegiate and he took runner-up honors at the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate, shooting a 211 (-5)
Blythe recorded five top-five finishes and eight top-20 finishes, shot par or better in 22 rounds and seven tournaments and tallied a team-high 143 birdies, along with 406 pars.
