In prelims of the 100 breaststroke, Hornyak swam the third fastest time in school history and a season best time of 1:02.03 finishing second.

"Our women were resilient today," said Head Coach Amanda Caldwell. "Loved how our divers showed up this week. Anya came so close on both boards to A finals and so proud of our freshmen divers under pressure in a new setting.

All of our swimmers came back from this morning and swam so much stronger. Could not be happier with all of their swims. Especially our 200 flyers who were gritty taking those races out so fast."

The CCSA Championships concludes with its final day on Saturday. Preliminaries begin at 10 a.m., with the finals at 6 pm. Final events on Saturday include the 1,650 freestyle, the 200 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, and the 400 freestyle relay.
