The duo is set to take center stage in New Orleans next Wednesday.
NEW ORLEANS — Sun Belt Basketball Media Day is less than a week away, and the conference has announced that Georgia Southern fifth-year senior Jalen Finch will join head coach Brian Burg at the in-person event next Wednesday.
The event will be broadcast on ESPN+ from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. ET, and the Eagles will appear on the main stage for an open media session at 9:25 a.m. ET.
Georgia Southern opens the season Nov. 8 at San Jose State. The Eagles will host 16 contests in Hanner Fieldhouse, the most since the 1991-92 season, when Georgia Southern played 18 games in the facility after hosting and winning the TAAC Tournament to earn the Eagles' last NCAA Tournament bid.
That season was also the last time Georgia Southern hosted six consecutive home games, a stretch that the Eagles have this season from Nov. 26-Dec. 17. Georgia Southern opens Sun Belt Conference play at home Dec. 29 against South Alabama, and the home Sun Belt schedule also has games against Appalachian State (Feb. 24), Arkansas State (Feb. 11), Coastal Carolina (Feb. 22), Georgia State (Jan. 21), James Madison (Feb. 9), Marshall (Jan. 5), ULM (Jan. 19) and Old Dominion (Jan. 7).
Season ticket renewals are under way and will run through Oct. 21. Fans can renew their season tickets at GSEagles.com/Renewals, and fans who are interested in purchasing season tickets can call 1-800-GSU-WINS.
