STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Head Women's Soccer Coach Chris Adams has announced the addition of six new student-athletes to round out his 2021-22 recruiting class. These Eagles join the seven previously announced in January to give Georgia Southern 13 newcomers for the upcoming 2021 campaign.
The six new student-athletes are: 5-8 senior midfielder Olivia Durham (Marietta, Ga. / Southern Miss); 5-3 junior defender Isabel Kopp (Haarlem, The Netherlands / Tyler JC); 5-6 redshirt freshman forward Elis Nemtsov (Bradford, Ontario / Memphis); 5-9 freshman forward Meghan O'Brien (Cincinnati, Ohio / Indian Hill HS); 5-3 sophomore forward Faith Phillips (McDonough, Ga. / UAB); and 5-7 freshman forward Kindree Sullivan (Jacksonville Beach, Fla. / Fletcher HS).
"We targeted some specific needs after evaluating the team this spring, and we were able to use the NCAA transfer portal to our advantage by adding four transfers," Coach Adams said. "We also added two freshmen which means thirteen new players arriving on campus this fall. These additions will mean competition at every position, as well as game changers coming off the bench. This group is poised to be in the conversation this fall when the Sun Belt Conference Championship is decided. Hail Southern! #GATA"
