Track and Field Hosts G.A.T.A. Classic this Weekend

STATESBORO, Ga. - Georgia Southern track and field will host its first meet of the 2021 outdoor season, with the G.A.T.A. Classic at Eagle Field.
The event is open to the public and fans are encouraged to attend adhering to CDC guidelines, wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. Events will begin on Friday morning at 11 a.m. and will continue throughout the day, before resuming Saturday morning.
There will be designated seating areas in the main bleachers to watch the track events and seating near the throw events will have limited capacity. Fans are asked to remain in the designated seating areas and not walk across the track to see the remaining jumping events. Spectators are able to park in front of the soccer stadium in the first few rows.
Georgia Southern will welcome in: Albany State, Berry, Clayton State, Fort Valley State, Georgia College, Jacksonville State, Mercer, Reinhardt, Shorter, Truett-McConnell, USC-Beaufort and Wesleyan this weekend.
