Eagles Finish Eighth in SBC Indoor Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Georgia Southern track & field concluded the Indoor Sun Belt Championships on Tuesday evening, finishing Eighth with 31 points.
In day two of competition, the Eagles picked up where they left off, as Aris Hubbard finished 7th in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.63. Scovia Ayikoru found herself on the podium in the 400 meter, finishing second with a time of 55.34.
Hubbard continued her success in the 200 meter, bettering her time on the school record list to 24.56. Hannah Wise ran the second fastest time in school history in the 3000 meter with a time of 10:27.83. The Eagles 4x400 team of Meagan Lynch, Camryn Mathis, Scovia Ayikoru and Zykeria Williams finished 4th with the fourth fastest time in school history, posting a time of 3:50.04.
Georgia Southern will open the 2021 Outdoor portion of their schedule on March 12th-13th at Eagle Field in Statesboro. GS will host the Georgia Southern G.A.T.A. Classic.
