
Men’s Basketball Signs Eric Boone

The junior college transfer joins the Eagle roster.
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern men's basketball coach Brian Burg announced today that Eric Boone (Lexington, Ky./ John A. Logan College) has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Eagles, beginning in the 2020-21 season.

Before Georgia Southern: Junior College transfer from John A. Logan College • Was part of a 28-win team in the 2019-20 season • Ranked second on the team in scoring with 15.5 points a game last season • Shot 52 percent from the field, 38 percent from 3-point range and 76 percent from the free-throw line • Also averaged 4.6 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 2.2 steals • Averaged 12 points, five rebounds and 4.9 assists at Tallahassee Community College in 2018-19 • Was a finalist for Mr. Basketball in the state of Kentucky in 2018 • Played in the Kentucky-Indiana All-Star Game and just missed a triple-double, finishing with 11 points, nine rebounds, nine assists and four steals • Named Lexington's 2018 Player of the Year and was first-team all-city after averaging 19.9 points and 11.3 rebounds.
