
Eagles Compete at Final Meet Before Conference at Samford Invite

STATESBORO – The Georgia Southern track and field team is set to compete in its final regular season meet of the indoor season Friday at the Samford Invite in Birmingham, Alabama.
Action will begin at the Birmingham Crossplex at 11:00 a.m. with the women's 60m dash with five Eagles scheduled to run.
Currently, the Eagles hold top five Sun Belt marks in five events. Scovia Ayikoru ranks fifth in the 60m dash time (7.61), third in the 200m (24.36) and first in the 400m (55.46, indoor school record). Merabu Nagwandala is fifth in the 5000m with a time of 17:46.59 (indoor school record).
The Georgia Southern distance medley relay team of Carley Braman, Mia Colucci, Ellunde Montgomery and Mattie Harris are also ranked third in the SBC with a time of 12:59.81.
