Annamaria Hornyak Earns CCSA Swimmer of the Week Honors

ATLANTA, Ga. - On Tuesday afternoon the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association announced that Freshman Annamaria "Amy" Hornyak was named Swimmer of the Week.

The freshman from Kisvarda, Hungary, competed in her first collegiate dual meet this past weekend against Campbell. Amy won two individual events, the 100 breaststroke (1:04.28) and the 200 IM (2:08.05).

Both swim times are the fastest in the conference so far this season by two seconds in the breaststroke and three seconds in the 200 IM. The 100 breaststroke time is the 5th fastest in Georgia Southern history. Hornyak also placed second in the 400 medley relay (1:03.93) and the 200 freestyle relay.
