STATESBORO - Georgia Southern Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein announced today that Brian Dunleavy has resigned from his position as Head Women's Soccer Coach today to pursue other professional opportunities.
Dunleavy has helmed the Eagle women's soccer program since 2013, when he became the fourth head coach in school history. In his six seasons, Dunleavy compiled an overall record of 41-59-9, which included a berth in the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Tournament semifinals. He was also an assistant coach on the 2012 SoCon Championship team.
During the 2018 campaign, the Eagles went 5-12 overall, while compiling a 3-7 mark in Sun Belt Conference play. Georgia Southern returns 19 players from that squad for the upcoming 2019 season.
A national search for a new Head Women's Soccer Coach will begin immediately.
