Freshman designated hitter leads the Eagles to a series win over Coastal
NEW ORLEANS - Georgia Southern's freshman designated hitter Noah Ledford has been named the Community Coffee Sun Belt Baseball Player of the Week for April 15-21, 2019. The freshman from Buford, Georgia drove in 10 runs last week and earned hits in all four contests.
Ledford hit .438 with 10 RBIs in the four games last week. He clouted two home runs in the opening two games of the week. Ledford closed his big week with a 3-for-5 game against Coastal Carolina, driving in four including the go-ahead run in the sixth inning that put the good guys ahead for good.
Noah is the second Eagle to earn a Sun Belt weekly award, joining Mason McWhorter who claimed the honor earlier this year.
