STORYLINES
- Georgia Southern Baseball plays five time this week with all five at the friendly confines. The Eagles face The Citadel for the second time in 2019 and College of Charleston for the third time this year. After the pair of midweek games, the Eagles will play league contests for 12 of their final 13 regular season games.
- Georgia Southern held on for a 13-12 win over Coastal Carolina to win the weekend series and cement themselves in first place in the East Division with four weekends of league play remaining.
- The Eagles have won seven-straight games over The Citadel including a 12-7 win in Statesboro last year. Earlier this season the Eagles took a 6-2 win in Charleston and now leads the all-time series 52-40.
- Georgia Southern is 2-0 this season against the College of Charleston, defeating the Cougars 8-0 in Charleston, and 3-1 in Savannah. The Eagles lead the series 36-32 and have won four-straight games.
- Last week was a bumper week for the Eagle offense, hitting .351 with 36 runs scored and seven home runs. Four Eagles hit over the .400 mark, led by Jason Swan (.471). Steven Curry (.444), Noah Ledford (.438), and Mason McWhorter (.412) carried the water for the offense.
- The Eagles took their second-straight series win over Coastal Carolina on Easter Weekend. The Eagles are 4-2 in the newly renovated Springs Brooks Stadium. The ballpark will play host to the 2019 Sun Belt Tournament.
- Among the many tools in his kit, Steven Curry has shown a knack for wearing pitches. In his 153 career games with the Eagles, Steven has been hit 55 times to rank third in school history, only three behind J.R. Revere's career total. In 2019, Curry has been hit 13 times with eight coming in the weekend finale.
- Six has been the magic number over the last six years for Georgia Southern Baseball with a 136-20 record when scoring six or more runs. The Eagles are 18-4 this season when scoring six or more.

UP NEXT
The Eagles will look to snap an eight-game skid against South Alabama this weekend in a three game weekend series with the Jaguars. The games on Friday and Sunday can be seen live on ESPN+ with Saturday's game on True Blue TV. All three contests can be heard live on the Georgia Southern Sports Network.
