Quickly: GS competes in the Sun Belt Championship at Raven Golf Club in Destin, Fla., April 21-24. Automatic team and individual bids to the NCAA Regionals are on the line. The first three days is stroke play and will determine the individual champion, and the top four teams advance to match play Wednesday. GS has lost in the match play championship the last two years and won the tournament in 2015 before match play was instituted. All three of those tournaments were at the Raven Club.
The Eagles are in third place after Sunday's first round, a stroke behind co-leaders Little Rock and Coastal Carolina.

Quickly: Georgia Southern Baseball plays The Citadel for the second time in 2019 on Tuesday night at home. The Eagles downed the Bulldogs 6-2 earlier this year in the Holy City behind seven innings from Tyler Owens. Nolan Tressler and Austin Thompson each had two hits for the good guys at Riley Park.

Quickly: The Eagles go for a three-game season sweep over College of Charleston on Wednesday night. Georgia Southern blanked the Cougars in late February, 8-0, and took a 3-1 win over CofC in Savannah at the begining of April. Wednesday's game is the final non-conference home game for the Eagles in 2019.

The Eagles enter the series in first place of the Sun Belt East Division and look to snap an eight game skid against the Jaguars. Friday night's game is the annaul GATA Game with Georgia Southern student-athletes coming out ot support Eagle Baseball. Saturday is the International Diamond Center Diamond Dig and Sandlot Night with a special showing of the movie after the game. Sunday's series finale is the 2019 Vs. Cancer Game, raising funds to fight childhood cancer.

The Owls are 25-24 overall and 10-8 in Atlantic Sun Conference play this season ... KSU leads the overall series between the two teams, 16-11, but the Eagles are 6-6 at home against the Owls and have won seven of the last eight meetings between the two schools ...
